Il mondo è in guerra. La politica nel caos. Da qualche anno infuria su più fronti, e con diverse modalità, una "Guerra Grande" (definizione di LiMes). Ciò avviene nella distratta e pericolosa inconsapevolezza di quanti si pensano estranei alla tempesta, che invece ci vede tutti - che lo vogliamo o no – coinvolti, e sempre meno indirettamente. Il sanguinoso e distruttivo stallo del conflitto ucraino, l’incendio mediorientale con i suoi strascichi marittimi sullo strategico accesso al Mar Rosso, le crescenti tensioni tra Usa e Cina, l’incerto scenario Indo-Pacifico: sono solo alcune tra le più evidenti manifestazioni di un rivolgimento geopolitico che ha già cambiato in modo profondo gli equilibri internazionali. In questo tumulto, cosa può fare l'Italia, per prendere piena coscienza degli eventi e non farsene travolgere? Quanto può contare la sua geografia, il suo retroterra storico-culturale, la sua collocazione geopoliticamente atlantica? 

LUCIO CARACCIOLO Massimo esperto italiano di geopolitica, dirige le riviste LiMes e Heartland. Ha fondato e dirige la Scuola di geopolitica e di governo di LiMes. Scrive di politica estera per Repubblica e per testate straniere. Insegna Studi strategici alla Luiss di Roma e Geopolitica all’Università San Raffaele di Milano.
