All'origine c'è stato il suono. Il rumore della roggia che sentivo scorrere da bambina, nei luoghi di vita e di gioco, con l'arietta fresca che arrivava dalla montagna ad accarezzarmi. Il rumore bianco. Non me ne accorgevo, ma mi accompagnava ogni volta che mettevo piede fuori casa, quando mi affacciavo alla terrazza in cucina, o dal salotto, oppure quando stavo in giardino. Crescendo, ritrovavo quel suono accanto ai ruscelli, nelle passeggiate in montagna, e mi faceva stare bene. L'ho capito molti anni dopo, quando, andando a trovare la nonna d'estate, mi sono portata un libro e mi sono seduta lì fuori a leggere. E il rumore mi ha portato via. I luoghi più speciali sono avvolti dal suono dell'acqua che scorre libera, ricordo dell'infanzia, di un tempo dilatato che appariva infinito.
