Giuliana Musso
Attrice, ricercatrice, autrice, Premio della Critica 2005, Premio Cassino Off 2017 e Premio Hystrio 2017 per la drammaturgia, è tra le maggiori esponenti del teatro di narrazione e d’indagine: un teatro che si colloca al confine con il giornalismo d’inchiesta, tra l’indagine e la poesia, la denuncia e la comicità. Una poetica che caratterizza tutti i suoi lavori: una prima trilogia sui “fondamentali” della vita, Nati in casa, Sexmachine e Tanti Saluti (nascita, sesso e morte), e poi un impegnativo viaggio nella distruttività del sistema patriarcale con La città ha fondamenta sopra un misfatto (ispirato a Medea.Voci di Christa Wolf), La Fabbrica dei preti (sulla vita e la formazione nei seminari italiani prima del Concilio Vat. II) e Mio Eroe (la guerra contemporanea nelle voci di madri di militari caduti in Afghanistan). Il suo ultimo monologo La scimmia, testo originale ispirato al protagonista del racconto di Franz Kafka Una relazione per un’accademia, ha debuttato a Mittelfest 2019.
I suoi testi sono stati pubblicati e tradotti in antologie e raccolte: Senza Corpo. Voci dalla nuova scena, a cura di Debora Pietrobono, Minimun Fax Media (2009); Donne che non seguono il copione, a cura di Milagro Martín Clavijo, Aracne editrice (2015); Italian Literature in Translation. Vol. II Theatre, a cura di Monica Capuani, Istituto italiano di Cultura a Londra (2017); My Hero, traduzione di Patricia Gaborik, nella sua versione integrale è edito da Frank Hentschker, Valeria Orani in New Plays from Italy, vol. 3 (2019).
Dal 2008 La Corte Ospitale è la sua casa di produzione.
