Luigi Ottani

Fotografo. La sua attività, prevalentemente rivolta a temi sociali, lo ha portato a raccontare storie di “umanità” con mostre e pubblicazioni. Fra i suoi reportage ci sono la Cambogia, la Palestina, il Sahel, la Bosnia, lo Tsunami, Chernobyl, il Saharawi e il terremoto in Emilia. Nel 2007, con il volume Niet Problema! ha vinto il premio “Marco Bastianelli” per il miglior libro fotografico italiano.

In tutto il mondo sta crescendo una nuova ondata di movimenti sociali urbani radicali che denunciano lo sfruttamento economico, l'esclusione sociale, le politiche disumane contro l’immigrazione, l’oppressione di genere e la devastazione ecologica. Questa antologia sviluppa i dibattiti iniziati all'interno del Transnational Institute of Social Ecology sull'urgente necessità di ricostruire le realtà sociali e politiche delle città del nostro mondo e apre nuove strade per ripensare il cambiamento sistemico della città, con la prospettiva di trasformare la maniera in cui le persone lavorano, creano e vivono insieme.

FEDERICO VENTURINI Geografo, ricercatore dell’Università di Udine, si occupa di contratti di fiume, zero waste, ecologia sociale e processi partecipativi. Ha curato i volumi: La vostra libertà e la mia. Abdullah Öcalan e la questione curda nella Turchia di Erdoğan (con J. Miley, Edizioni Punto Rosso 2020); Ecologia sociale e diritto alla città (con E. Degirmenci, I. Morales, Zero in Condotta 2024).

FEDERICA TOLDO Ricercatrice in antropologia, i suoi studi si concentrano sul complesso rituale angolano noto come xinguilamento. La storia della schiavitù e i suoi lasciti rituali, performativi e simbolici sono il filo conduttore delle sue ricerche etnografiche in Angola e in Brasile.
